I thought I'd let you know about some of the beauty products that have impressed me/saved my life recently! I love watching monthly favourite videos on YouTube, I always see so many incredible products, and while my bank balance may not thank me for it, my skin and make up collection often do! So, let's just dive right in, from left to right...
1, Boots Natural Collection Vanilla Body Spray - £2
So, we're starting cheap but oh so cheerful! I have a small obsession with absolutely anything vanilla scented/flavoured, I really am just a sucker for sweet girly scents and this body spray is about as sweet as it gets! I tend to spray this on myself just after I get out the bath/shower, after moisturiser but before perfume and I just love it. But, confession time, I spray this on everything. I spritz my clothes with it, my room, my bed, my whole world just sings vanilla right now and it cheers me up!
2, TRESemme Salon Sleek straightening spray - £4.99
So, let's talk heat protection. I, and I think many others will be with me, am rubbish when it comes to protecting my hair. I don't know why, it's a quick and simple step that for no particular reason I always skip and I really really shouldn't. I tend to use a fair amount of heat on my hair, and it is so important to use a heat protection to keep it in good condition! This one is similar to the oh so hyped original tresemme heat protection (you know the one, with the red top) but with he addition of Argan oil I feel it really helps keep my hair extra smooth and frizz free as well as protecting it from whatever torture I choose to put it through that day. Affordable and fantastic product, if you have difficult to tame, frizz prone hair like me give it a go!
3, Neutrogena Visibly Clear Pore and Shine Daily Wash - £2.99 &
Garnier Pure 3-in-1 wash scrub and mask- £3.99
So not too long a go my skin started to hate me. I moved house, there was stress of results and job hunting and unpacking and all the rest of it and each day I'd wake up, look in the mirror to face increasing levels of horror. Something needed to be done. On a very small budget I braved the supermarket and spent an age staring at the shelves and finally decided on these two products. My skin type is combination to oily. I do get some dry patches but my T-Zone is most definitely oily, especially in the summer months, and I also have pesky large pores (my life's mission seems to be to try and make them less visible!) I picked up these two products on a whim, and in combination with trusty tea tree oil has surprisingly worked absolute wonders. I wash my face (after all make up has been removed) with the neutrogena and then apply the garnier as a mask, leave it on for a few minuted and then wash it off using circular motions to double it up as the scrub and no kidding, I can see an improvement in my skin pretty much straight away. They don't feel too harsh on my skin, my pores have shrunk somewhat but more importantly my skin just looks a lot clearer and less oily.
4, Burts Bees Almond and Milk Beeswax Hand Cream - £9.99
Hi, my name's Emily, and I'm addicted to this hand cream. I love a good hand cream, but I generally have one major issue. I'll apply one, rub it all in, and the good ones sink in pretty quick. But then in what feels like no time my hands feel as dry as they did before. But this little beauty, my hands thank me for it on a daily basis. Yes, it's a little more pricey than some, but it is so, so worth it. I use this every night before bed, you don't need to apply much but when it's sunk in your hands feel so soft. Cons, as gorgeous as the glass packaging is, it's not really portable, this really is a bedside table hand cream. Plus, if you apply too much it can take a while to sink in but for me, the pros outweigh the cons by far!
I hope you enjoyed this post, I have another coming up with some make up products I've been loving recently so keep an eye out for that and let me know if there are any posts you'd like to see! :)
